I've noticed JoeBob refer to many posters disparagingly as "Boomers" when he disagrees with them in mulitple threads. Sometimes I know for a fact the person he's referring to is not old emough to be considered a "Baby Boomer".
It's his way of dismissing those who he percieves as being older than him when they disagree with him.
It's intellectually lazy, and f***ing annoying. Shut up, boomer. Precisely!

The world has changed really damned quick and it is no longer appropriate nor intelligent to make fun of “kooky” schit. Older people have more trouble realizing that than some others because for the vast majority of their lives it wasn’t so. I was actually being charitable. I could just call anyone who has witnessed the last decade and still does that stuff a complete moron. I was actually trying to postulate a reason that doesn’t involve idiocy.

I'm a Gen X'er, Desert Storm (AKA Gulf War I) veteran and have witnessed the government morph from being a wasteful, fairly disfunctional but somewhat useful entity into a force that is diametrically opposed to the welfare and benefit of the citizenry. It really started under Bush I (former CIA director, by the way), accelerated under Clinton, and has been a full blown force for evil the entirety of the 21st Century.
My eyes were opened by Ruby Ridge, then I truly saw the light during Waco. Both occurred when I was in my early 20s.

I don’t know what the guy was or wasn’t. All i know is that there seemed to be a backstory made up for this guy already that seemed to check all the boxes. Nice walk back from your original post and classic reverting to insults when you have nothing else, then again, that's been your tactic here for years.

In the heat of an argument, he may have transitioned into more hard and fast stereotypes when addressing specific members participating in the debate, but that is a tendency under such circumstances. He has made clear, however, that he is speaking of trends, not hard and fast rules, and he acknowledges that many people born within the boomer range are well aware of our current situation, and have been for a very long time, and are not self-deceived. "trends" only came about after I questioned his "absolutism" when he first responded to my post, but thanks for the non-answer to my questions, I was actually looking forward to your response on the Titanic, but life is full of disappointments....

Although, when my generation was young, we called people older than us boomers (although it wasn't an insult at that time). Not sure at what point they decided the exact years so as to include us too.

I suspect Reagan was issued a warning when he survived his botched assassination, and toned his rhetoric down a bit after that, e.g., no more talk about restoring the gold standard after his near assassination. I suspect the CIA was behind it, Hinckley being a programmed (MKUltra) asset.

They tried to do to Reagan the same thing they did to Trump.
Kennedy was an outsider. Nixon was an outsider and hated the establishment and they hated him. Reagan wasn’t part of the club. And Trump definitely isn’t part of the club.

That said, it was certainly PLAUSIBLE, "they" generated all those facts you mention regarding this shooter. But to suggestive probably or certitude this guy was some sort of Manchurian Candidate that "they" showed him the queen of diamonds and off he went to kill, I'm just not ready to make that leap of cookery yet. Same BTW as the Titanic being sunk to get rid of big shots opposing the Federal Reserve or some black ops team demolishing the third building during 9/11 and of course one of your kook quotes "they" show all incoming presidents a video of the Zapruder film just to keep them in line.
