Who says the Patriot system was destroyed? Besides some Russians? The Patriot is a turd and always has been. It didn’t work in thr first Gulf War. It hasn’t worked in Yemen. And it ain’t working now. The fact is that ADA has always been the red headed step child in the military budget. We’ve had air dominance over every battlefield we’ve been around since 1944. Part of that was overwhelming numbers and mostly because we haven’t fought anyone with a credible air force since WW II. As a result we just don’t really do ADA. The Russians on the other hand have concentrated on it since they long ago conceded that they could not match NATO in air power. They have excellent systems.

Why is their system presumed to be better? They do have good missiles, and have for quite a while, but that does not mean that we do not.
