Does anyone have a case drawing for the 7 Raptor? It's an Arne Brennan creation, of 6.5 Grendel fame, amongst many other Raptor rounds. Similar to the 277 Wolverine & the 7.62x40WT. Actually, anyone with any experience at all w/ this cartridge chiming in would be appreciated. I'm a rifle looney obsessed w/ maximizing AR15 near & medium range performance w/ just a barrel change Thanks! Mark & Belle

Is it somehow different than the 7mm tcu?

Yes, a shorter case in order to allow for longer bullets yet still fitting in an AR magazine (2.260" max COAL). Most 7mm TCU loads exceed this COAL except w/ the lightest 7mm bullets. Actually uses a .222 Rem case.-Mark & Belle

No, the 300Whisper, now BlackOut, was designed for suppressed, subsonic loads by JD Jones for use in the AR. It wasn't designed as a mediim/large game hunting cartridge unless you include humans. The top three hunting cartridges for the AR, using a standard bolt head would be the 277 Wolverine, 7 Raptor and 300 Ham'r. The Ham'r can produce 1800 ft-lb of ME while the highest 223 load only gets to 1100 ft-lb.
