He was part of the 'Who's Who' of tough guy male actors: The Dirty Dozen. Even he looked small standing next to Clint Walker. This pic is missing a couple of the good ones like Charles Bronson. I didn't often agree with Jim's politics but I respected his commitment to them. He was a monster on the field and who would want to try to tackle him in the open field.

My brother has a world class football memorabilia collection He worked and traveled with the Oakland Raiders. He has a stunning collection if you're into that kind of thing. A bunch of famous actors came out of that movie. Looks to me like Clint Walker & Lee Marvin are the 2 biggest guys in that photo. IIRC, Bronson was of small stature. And Lee Marvin was a WW-II Vet / Badass. Jim Brown was great in his era. IMO, the greatest running backs of all time were Bo Jackson & Herschel Walker. Honorable Mention goes to Earl Campbell. Although he was an asswhole when I met him. Bo Jackson & Herschel Walker are both class acts. Bet ole Jim Brown was double vaxed. π
