He was part of the 'Who's Who' of tough guy male actors: The Dirty Dozen. Even he looked small standing next to Clint Walker. This pic is missing a couple of the good ones like Charles Bronson. A bunch of famous actors came out of that movie.
Looks to me like Clint Walker & Lee Marvin are the 2 biggest guys in that photo. IIRC, Bronson was of small stature. And Lee Marvin was a WW-II Vet / Badass.
Jim Brown was great in his era. IMO, the greatest running backs of all time were Bo Jackson & Herschel Walker. Honorable Mention goes to Earl Campbell. Although he was an asswhole when I met him.
Bo Jackson & Herschel Walker are both class acts.
Bet ole Jim Brown was double vaxed. 😜
Before this movie, Walker had been making the Cheyenne series. His trademark was taking his shirt off in every episode. I'll bet that the others talked him into it for this photo and Brown decided to try to match him. It's a guy thing. Good thing that Donald Sutherland didn't do it, too.

End of his football career.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.
Happily Trapped In the Past (Thanks, Joe)
Not only a less than minimally educated person, but stupid and out of touch as well.
I didn’t at all like his politics but credit where credit’s due I loved his toughness and style of football. I’ve always liked big physical backs that can impose their will and reliably gain tough yards.
Barry Sanders for instance was also great but on the opposite end of that spectrum.
Shoot, most of what he believed and advocated for while being very black biased would be viewed as conservative leaning by today’s woke standards.
He was a great football player and a pretty good actor. His politics were crap though. I remember the bit Richard Pryor did about Jim coming to his house when he was at his deepest in addiction to coke and helped him get clean. Naturally Richard told a hilarious story but Jim probably saved his life. I always held kind thoughts towards him from that story.
