Taking my 17 rar over to the grandson next month, wantin to replace it. Is the tikka worth the extra scratch? Thanks
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

My T1x 17 HMR is one of my favorite rifles.

I set one up for my 83 year old father-in-law this spring. I sighted it in @ 50 yds in 3 shots. After that said FIL went about shooting out all of the .5” target dots on the paper while I mounted a scope on anotjer rifle at the next bench over. He was a great shot at one time but his eyesight isn’t what it once was and his steady hand is long gone. He was still giggling like a little girl as he centered up every shot he took. The gophers should be scared when he makes his way back up to ND in a few weeks.

They're nice. I bought one on a whim. I put a Meopta Meosport 3.5-15x50 on it in Talley rings. Also installed a vertical grip and adjust the trigger. It does everything I want it to. Mine shoots the 20gr rounds as well as the 17gr rounds.

+1….. would be one of the last rifles down the road. I sold my RAR after my first range session with my Tikka.

My RAR 17 did well for me. Probably 3/4" groups consistantly at 100. Only issue was for me they didn't make it in LH.
So, got a Tikka as well. Cerakoted it, had the stock dipped, added some Mountain Tactical upgrades. Heck of a gun. 6 shots tore the center out of a 1" dot at 100 the first day I shot it.
A17 ammo does the best in both.

Yes, the Tikka is worth the extra cost.
