8 pounds of Unique powder walked in the door with an old timer that had quit shooting. It came home with me for $200.

Fun show. Picked up some ammo for display - some empty, some mixed headstamp, some partial. Oh, and a peep sight for a Remington 81.
Colorado just passed a 3 day wait period for all gun sales and it takes affect in October. So really not sure if they'll have this show in Colorado next year. Betting the law gets struck down as being unConstitutional, but the wait for that to happen could be several years.

Good to meet you there Rory. I think it will be hard on modern gun sales but antique market seemed to be running full throttle with no background checks or 4473's needed. The president of the CGCA told us at the Sharps Collecter Assoc board meeting that the show will be at the same venue ( Greeley) next year. Just my thoughts it was a dang nice show, really nice venue ( Island Grove event ctr). Gunshow food is usually expensive and poor but the concessionor did a really good job to what we had in 2 years of Colo Sprgs. The food was acceptable at the Denver Merchandise mart all the years I attended there but Denver sucks even worse than colo sprgs. Greeley is easy to get around in. Won't stay at the same down town motel but all in all a good trip and show. Glad to have picked up a copy of David's new book and meeting all that I could..mb

I am so jealous... Here in the Peoples Republik of Illinois I know on no gun shows of any kind that are worth going to.
Nice that you all could visit a bit....

Westman, wake up and smell the coffee. If you are anywhere in Northern Illinois, you can't be too far from Princeton. Four decent shows in the Fall and Winter, with some treasures showing up from time to time. Personally acquired two 99T's there, a 30/30 and a 250, both in very nice shape. Rather fewer black guns than most places. Oh, and last Fall there was an RS in 300 for sale.
