A friend of mine is a cyclist and he had two run-ins with vehicles. He lived but lost both times.
The first time, he was sideswiped by a truck mirror on a back road. In the second, he was riding on a state four lane and a woman crossed in front of him without stopping at the stop sign in the median. He tried to stop but he T-boned her, went over her hood and once again spent several days in the hospital.
The law of gross tonnage is still alive and well.

I think Paul's a good dude.
I hate the bikers that ride up and down my mountain roads.
They're such a pain in the ass.
Paul isn't a liberal.
He has some of the thickest skin here.
Everybody takes turns kicking him in the nuts and he continues to hold his ground.
At least he isn't a Californian...🤣 I like some of those back roads for riding, but rest assured when someone comes up behind me, I am committed to getting them around me as quickly as practicable. Paul might not be a Californian, but he IS a Boatswains Mate...
