I don't know.

I have been watching a few WW II movies on Prime lately. repeatedly, I see soldiers reaching over their bolt action combat rifles with the left hand to manipulate the bolt.......WTF But then they place the rifle to the right shoulder to fire.......WTF....again

The latest example was in a Russian produced movie "Red Ghost Nazi Hunter" about a famous sniper terrorizing the Nazis in rural snowbound Russia.

One would think Russian producers would be more familiar with weapons.

The plate was reversed - look at the rifle.

Woody Harrelson shoots left handed in the movies. I know for sure in Natural Born Killers and Zombieland. I don’t know of many more where he has a lot of gun play.

If you subscribed to bow hunting magazines in the 90s, you quickly became aware (from the pictures) that anyone of consequence in the bow hunting community shot bows left-handed.

John Wick seems to be ambidextrous.

I do notice lefties whether shooting or writing on the screen.

The mountain man museum has a Jim Bridger rifle, right hand lock but two cheek pieces

Billy the Kid was said to be left handed because of his gun belt. The picture is a mirror. There was something on the rifle that was reverse.

Actually the process in making the image was a negative that was produced on the metal backing that became the photo…

A real gunman that was left handed was Charlie Askins

Robert Davis Chandler was in a bunch of westerns and he wore his pistol left-handed. Most people remember him as the bounty hunter in The Outlaw Josey Wales ("Dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy...I had to come back...I know). He has one in a holster on his left hip & one tilted left in the middle of his stomach. He goes for the one under his belt albeit a bit too slowly.

Yup. But not being able to use his right hand in the duel may have cost him his life. He wasn't quite as good left handed or he would've killed Donnie Yen
