The downside of retiring is that your next milestone is dying.

Fishing on a Tuesday is glorious. Weekend fishing is sooooo overcrowded.

I couldn't handle retirement.
Staying home all day just ain't for me yet.
I suspended my pension and went back to work full time.

I have been retired for a few months, really do not like staying home at all. I might look into doing something else a few days out of the week.

I went after 30 years at age 53. I keep plenty busy.

No nookie at work.

48. Been almost 2 years already. I haven’t regretted it for a second.

I retired at 52, took about two years to not feel guilty, moved to family ranch and work as hard as I ever did as a steel worker for 30 years, enjoy it.

Good on the knee and stay healthy to enjoy all that you’ve worked for.

Congrats.

I retired in 1996. For me, there is no downside to retirement. Ymmv

I was 2 months from 60 when I retired. Timing was perfect. My dad passed away in November so I’m taking care of my 88 year old mom . I stay busy . I really don’t know how I found time to work all those years . I’m NEVER bored .

At the end of this September it will be 30 years for me. It is all great until your health starts failing and you can no longer do the things you enjoy. It's been a great ride though!

The only downside to retirement is that you just keep getting older....

Cant imagine a single downside other than a few more dollars. I've got so many things I need to do that I don't have time to approach right now.

Probably keep at it a few more years.
