China is not a military threat but it is an economic threat to the American Economic Empire. The war drums beating in Washington is due to the fading power of the dollar. Our industry has been sold out long ago. Somehow the American Imperial Elite thought industrial might was so yesterday and the mighty dollar paper economy and financialization of everything was all that was needed to rule the world. Turns out the end of history wasn’t and politics by other means still trumps all. Industrial might is military might. I concur... China could bring America to capitulation by simply slowing or stopping (or jacking up prices (duhh)) brake pads, tires, lithium, meds, dishwashers and AC parts etc. etc. etc. America as a nation of independent spirits/capabilities is GONE... We have been on China's tit for decades... FYI... I ain't quitting... just loading mags... Brokedicks everywhere.

He might as well be. We are governed by the bureaucracy which is in turn controlled by the bankers. He is exactly what the bureaucracy needs, a mindless idiot that will sign anything put before him. Any president that bucks the bureaucracy gets destroyed. Kennedy, Nixon, Trump are examples.

The only folks who have to worry about china is Tiawan. Chinas military seems to be defensive not offensive.
Hasbeen China plays the long game. They're in no hurry to retake Taiwan. China knows that the west is in severe decline. When the west no longer has anything to offer Taiwan, Taiwan will go home to China.
