Ruger, Browning, or what? I’ve got a suppressor coming shortly and I need a pistol to use it on. Mainly plinking and shooting small game. I’d like to keep it under $400, but there are some sweet options out there I may need to check out.

Small game can't tell a suppressor from a factory barrel in a .22.
They both sound the same.
Don't ask me about my military service or heroic acts...most of it is untrue.

I am not sure what that means but I favor the Ruger 22/45 Lite.

They both sound the same. If I’m shooting the small game I’m not really interested in preserving its hearing for another day.

All I know is my Gemtech is air gun quiet with any pistol I’ve used it on. Which includes the Ruger MK IV 22/45 lite, Buckmark and the Glock 44. My pick would be the Ruger.

What can are you getting? What are you using it for?
Ruger SR 22 with a "sparrow" is pretty slick setup and light. No optics mount on the one Ive used.
Tbac takedown on a ruger mark or browning buckmark is heavier but makes a good setup as well. Most qre using a RDS sight of some type.
Ruger in my opinion is better built than the buckmarks. Also Palmetto, smith and wesson, ect offer threaded 22s depending on what your looking for.

the Vic is worth a thunk.... That’s not one I’ve paid much attention to. I’ll definitely check them out.

I am not sure what that means but I favor the Ruger 22/45 Lite. Would also recommend the Ruger 22/45 for shooting suppressed. One thing you will be doing a lot when shooting with a can on a .22 is cleaning... a lot of cleaning. While I love my Browning Buckmarks, the Ruger is far easier and quicker to clean. But once I switched over a Benjamin Marauder in .22 PCP, I never shot .22 suppressed again.

The most important thing for me is the ease of breakdown and cleaning. Suppressed. 22lr's get nasty quick. I went with a a Ruger MKIV 22/45.

I have been pondering a CP33 for a while now...
In the meantime, I have three Buckmarks with threads (retrofit) that shoot fine.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

I am shooting a S&W M&P 22 compact with a YHM Mite and happy with that. Easy to clean.
