In the little country store nearby, a man buying ice cream called out to his wife: “Is Moose Tracks OK?” And they say there’s no such thing as a stupid question! 🤭
The local store has a copy called Espresso Almond Fudge.
That stuff is fantastic.
Yep, my favorite also, unfortunately it is very hard to find around my area. A close second is Hershey's Cappucino Crunch which I can get locally at the local ice cream parlor.
Chocolate, made using my Grandfather's recipe. He owned/operated an ice cream shop in the late 40's - early 50's. He gave me the recipe's before he passed.
I'm a huge fan of Tillamook Ice Cream, which is made about an hour from here on the coast. There is no way I could pick a single favorite from all their flavors...

Sheister - I came across a seasonal one they put out last fall "Pumpkin Pie". Dayum, it was good.
Tillamook or Umpqua are both my go-to brands. Hard to choose a single favorite, but can't go wrong with Vanilla Bean. Doctor it up with chocolate as needed.

Seems like every time I go to the store they have a new flavor, which is why I responed as I did. We have White chocolate raspberry , Strawberry, Mountain Huckleberry, and Monster cookie in our freezer right now because it was on sale last week. Can't remember the name of the last couple we got but I believe one of them was Marionberry swirl, and the other was some sort of Chocolate/caramel chocolate chip. My doctor would probably give me a good tongue lashing for my diet, but honestly it is my 125 lb wife who has the sweet tooth in our house... yup, their vanilla bean is pretty great also

I can b e pretty damned happy with a bowl of decent Vanilla as long as I can pour Momma's home made strawberry freezer jam over the top. Sometimes I might add a bit of Chocolate syrup or hot fudge as well.
Toppings excluded, I once got a half gallon of "Fresh Peach" from the Schwann's truck. Damn, it was good. that was several years ago and was seasonal, I have not been able to find it again.

I like the amber grade maple syrup best myself, it is harvested fairly early in the season (2nd from the left below) but its all good!
Just finished a small bowl as I read this. My father used to by maple syrup from the Mennonites back in the early 70s for $20/gallon. I still remember him grumbling when the price went up to $25. We used to buy 2 gallons for the year and store it in the freezer to keep the mold off it.

As Associated Foods sold out and became part of Topco, Western Family brands were all replaced with Food Club in our Independent Grocery Stores. At that time Red Button ice cream also became available in the stores. It is apparently a Topco label as they even paint tubs of Red Button on the side of their semi trailers.
I have no idea who packages the product for them, or where. I agree it is a very good product.
I found a tub of Red Button black licorice flavored ice cream last month. Oh my! I dare not buy another.
Before my recent retirement, we packaged sugar for Associated Foods under the Western Family label. Western Family, Kroger, Winco, and Albertsons/ were our four biggest customers of 25#, 10#, & 4# granulated, 1# and 2# powder, and 1# & 2# light and dark brown sugar.
All of that Western Family product is now packaged in Food Club bags.

Pregnant woman and ice cream... And all their other cravings. Jump thru fuuking burning hula hoops just to make the beach ball on stilts happy Holy fuuuk..
We almost never buy ice cream anymore. We bought an inside freezer that freezes completely without having to put in the deep freeze.
We make all sorts, but to each one we add 4 oz of liquor. It gives it a punch and leftover ice cream goes in the deep freeze and stays soft without crystallizing.
Bailey's Irish Cream is great in it. other flavors we sometimes use Creme de Cacao, Kahlua, homemade cherry bourbon, etc.
Tikkanut: When my favorite ice cream store stopped offering (making!) my favorite ice cream (coconut almond fudge!) I pissed and moaned. When Howard Hughes's favorite ice cream store quit making his favorite ice cream, he bought the store! Life is unfair sometimes. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
Welcome. Once you've eaten it, you won't forget it. Happens to be where Cookies and Cream was invented, in fact. The cheese is just excellent, and the Meat Lab, open Thursday afternoons and Fridays is a do not miss experience.

Stewarts is a convenience store chain based in upstate NY. Kind of like a 7-11 staffed by local, friendly, English speaking, knowledgable folks. They own their own farms, and make their own milk and ice cream. Probably one of the best ice creams i've ever had - pick a flavour, and it's unbelievable.
Dessert after dinner is the dumbest idea ever. Yeah...let's pile on a whole ton of carbs and calories and go to sleep. No wonder America is so obese.
Worked a lot better back in the day when most people worked a long physical day. Maybe in this day and age not so much. Nonetheless kind of a buzz kill!
