Any body else got one? I've had one for many years now, and it still shoots like a dream. Smooth action too. 'Course it could be many years of wear that made it that way. But I still like it. According to the serial number and Marlins web site it was mfg'd in '64, if I remember right.

I picked up a 39A Mountie at a gun show a while back that looked like it hadn't been shot much. The dealer said it hadn't. Still has the orig box w/ matching SN. I don't remember right now when it was made, but it's pretty old. I'll have to check the website again. But I don't think I'll shoot this one too much.

I've had a 39A Mountie for 37 years. I think it will shoot with the best of them. I like it very much. Thanks...

I've got a newer one that I bought about 4 yrs. ago. With peep sights, it's good for 5 into an inch to an inch and a half @ 50 yds. With the fancy euro sub sonic HP's (RWS ?), it shoots into 5/8ths of an inch @ 50. Best of all, everything goes into the same group @ 50 yds. Good trigger ( 4 lbs.) and good weight. Will accept a shooting sling. E
