For sale is this very good condition S&W 629-3 Classic DX. These came from the factory specially picked because of their accuracy before they were given the DX marking.
It has the original flat type factory Combat grips. A few small marks. No box or any extras, just what you see in the pics.
$1100 shipped, first posted "I'll take it". No trades or electronic payment.

Not a bad deal as it includes the factory combats. Would be taking a hard look at it myself if I didn't already have its twin!

Tempting. Can you post a pic of the other grips as well?

No other grips, just the factory Combats. The others would be black synthetic type.

Someone should buy this. Seriously the DX is the real deal. Mine is stupid accurate and makes me look good. You would pay this for a non DX 629 classic, the DX is worth $500 more in my opinion. I will never sell mine. I would buy this and have two but it makes no sense. Sorry to rant but I can't stress enough how accurate these guns are.

Good luck with sell, someone will snatch it up.

That looks pretty damn clean. Hard to find a 6.5” 44 mag in that era

Agree completely. My 629 Classic DX is an 8 3/8” and yes, it’s a shooter. I’ve always used the black, synthetic grips for hunting with it, but always felt it deserved better, so got some round butt conversion target grips from Altamont. I’ve always felt the combat grips didn’t give enough to hold on to with an 8 3/8” gun so have put them away with the synthetics. Mine also came with 5 interchangeable front sight blades. I would love to have a 6 1/2” also but, dammit, I’m trying to reduce inventory (and not having much luck.)
