People think if you own a dually you can buy a foreign bride by giving her parents a cash lump sum. Anyone done this? Pros and cons? I'm concerned about a cultural barrier. The email I received says you must pay before she actually gets state side. The prettier they are the more their parents require. Some are six figures upfront. I'm torn.thoughts?

Make sure you check out the lineup from Ghana. My ex-neighbor did it and she only cost him ~$100k by the time it was all over with (<2 years).

An acquaintance, while he was in the Navy brought home a Philippine bride during the Vietnam era. She kept his bank accounts thinned out sending money home to Momma and little sisters. Until she managed to get every one of them moved the USA.
She cooked lots of fish heads and rice. But their kids did not appear to be malnourished.
She eventually divorced him. I have no idea where she and her Mom and siblings went.
But I did see the guy again about three years later. He was about about age 55 with a gorgeous little Phillipine girl on his arm. I so wanted to ask if he had another one shipped over, or if she was a former sister in law.
But I could not be that cruel.
Lots of unanticipated costs associated with those foreign brides.
People who choose to brew up their own storms bitch loudest about the rain.
