Our family is headed to Yellowstone and Grand Teton for vacation. Doesn't need to be fancy, but somewhere my wife and kids could sit down and enjoy a steak.

I enthusiastically second the Gunbarrel!
Bison ribs are good too. & garlic mashed potato’s.
Hard to find any bad food in Jackson...
Harder to find inexpensive food

I had the best chicken fried steak breakfast of my life at Bubbas in Jackson. Bubba's Bar-B-Que Restaurant (307) 733-2288 https://g.co/kgs/Pw1E1S

A chicken fried steak can be a wonderful thing. No kidding. When done with care. Used to be my Dad's favorite meal.

Know fat, know flavor. No fat, no flavor.
I tried going vegan, but then realized it was a big missed steak.

Not a "steak" place; but we liked Bin 22 enough to eat there 2 nights in a row.

At $98 a pound for Bison Prime Rib at the Gun Barrel and another $10 if you wanna salad to go with it, I'd have to be eating Poached Elk.

Our family is headed to Yellowstone and Grand Teton for vacation. Doesn't need to be fancy, but somewhere my wife and kids could sit down and enjoy a steak. The Gun barrel is expensive but very good located near the square. Ask some locals once you get there and they can tell you of some good places also. The Mangy Moose in Teton village also serves a good steak. As mentioned, the Bar T-5 chuckwagon ride and show is fun for the family. You’ll get a decent ribeye, beans and show for about the same price as the Gun barrel meal. Enjoy! It’s a beautiful area.

It's been a long time since I've visited Jackson, maybe 30 years ago? However, at that time, the best steak could be had at the Cowboy Bar, across the street from the central park with all the antlers. Everyone should go there at least once and do the two-step.
Wind in my hair, Sun on my face, I gazed at the wide open spaces, And I was at home.

Salmonella: That is good to know about the chicken fried steak at Bubba's. I have eaten at Bubba's in Jackson Hole MANY times over the last 30+ years - but have only had their breakfasts. Which are superb by the way. I have always planned my trips and visits to allow for me to be there for breakfasts at Bubba's - will definitely plan on doing dinner there next time I am through. Spent five days in Jackson Hole for the 2,023 World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb in March and did Bubbas twice for breakfast - wish I had known about their dinner Chicken Fried Steak. Thanks again.
AUgrad: Be sure and stop in at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center to view their wonderful displays of Elk and other wild creatures. Takes 30 minutes to view it all - well worth it.
