Winchester Model 70 Classic DBM Magazine (DC). The detachable box magazines stamped DC will fit the DBM model rifles that have a “claw” or control round feed (pre 64 type) extractor in .270 and .30-06 only.

**These are no longer available and quite hard to find! The ones on Gunbroker are for the pushfeed models only.**

Any idea where I could find one of these for a 308 Win (stamped BC2)? Mine failed one of the internal springs.

Good morning m70 classic.I have one that looks like yours.
Stamped BC ,in the box.Box reads:Magazine Assembly for Model 70 DBM.
End panel:Magazine Style:BC.Magazine Part No.:19829.No D after BC though.
Difficult mag. to find.Will sell.

That's awesome, thanks ElkSnort!! I didn't think there was anyway to find a replacement spring.

I just ordered a couple (one for a spare). Can't wait to see if it works. $16.95 for a new spring is definitely worth a try, considering a new magazine is $120 (and not even sure it's the right one).

Don't mean to hijack the this thread but thought I'd give an update in case anyone else is in the same boat I was in.

I bought the replacement spring listed in the ebay link and a new factory magazine (BC not BC2) from Midwest Gun Works. The spring worked but the magazine did not. The BC2 and BC magazines appeared to be identical but I could not get rounds to feed from the BC magazine. Not sure what the difference is (other than being for a Winchester vs an FN rifle).

Thanks again for the tip ElkSnort.

I wish I could've found replacement springs for my mags at the time I needed it. Ended up buying two new mags (one of those broke too). My gunsmith ended up rebuilding two of my broken mags with a completely different kind of springs.
