I recently acquired two 99C rifles chambered in 243 and 284. Unfortunately both stocks have been cut and pads added. I would like to find a couple of original stocks if possible. Where should I start my search?

Lots of variations of the 99C in 243. The 284 will be pressed checkering.

Pics are always best. If nobody here has a spare, eBay is probably the next best solution.

I’ve got a Pachmayr pad on my 41 EG in 300 savage. I’m very glad it has a pad also.
I’ve also got an 82 E in 300 savage without a pad. It will leave my shoulder sore after a box of amo at the range.

You are doing something wrong. Both of my shoulders are trash from 40 years of Line work. That's why I love the .300 Savage.
