I ran across a 94 with a 24” barrel, pistol grip with curved lever and impressive wood. I have found some in my searches that were called legacy but this one doesn’t have that stamped in the barrel. Just says 94AE and it has the crossbolt safety. They are asking 800.00 plus tax. Can someone help identify this rifle and what it is worth? Thanks for your help.

The Winchester Legacy was mfg. 1995-2006. Angle eject became standard in 1984. Cross bolt safety 1992-2006 not desirable at all! 24 inch round barrel began in 1997. MSRP.$497.00 I think it's worth what you want to pay!

I prefer the pistol grip so it would of more interest to me. I think the high point of Winchester levers was the Model 71

I think $800 is a little high. You didn't say what it is chambered for. Some rifle chambered in less common cartridges may be worth more than other 94's.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

It’s chambered in 30-30, I don’t think I’m going to pursue it, thanks everyone.

I own a like new Win 94 Legacy 24" bbl in 44 mag. Bought it new , & still have the original box. Absolutely no way I would sell mine for $800. Maybe $1000 to $ $1100. Maybe, if I wanted to sell. The Legacy is more difficult to come by. They were made in 30-30, the most common cal. Also .357mag, 44 mag & 45 Colt. If you want one I believe $800 is a fantastic price.
