Didn't know where else to post this, so figured it would get good traffic in the "Optics" forum.
As I get older, I noticed I'm have many more bad days than good days on the handgun range. I'm not a fan of red dots or scopes and would much prefer running irons. But some days, like yesterday's fun steel shoot - I had a heck of a time getting a crisp view of the front sight. (although the glare on my old Model 15s black ramp didn't help. It's due for some sight black!)
So, I googled up "Adjustable Focus eye glasses" and I find tons of them online ranging from $12.99 to over a hundred.
Can anyone relate experiences with Adjustable Focus glasses for shooting?
Thanks

Cut your normal progressive add power in half and you should get a good view of your sights @ arm's length, then, a slight tuck of your chin will get you into your distance to see the target.
Same goes for archers using peeps/pins.

I have been wearing prescription progressive safety glasses for over twenty years. While they are not conducive to precision work through a rifle scope, I like them very well for shooting handguns. I have antiglare, and polarized lenses. On bright days I use brown tinted, and use clear on overcast days.
The progressives have a sweet spot to see the front sight in sharp focus, while the rear is slightly blurred as is the target.
People who choose to brew up their own storms bitch loudest about the rain.
