Seems like I hear that more and more now.
Your prostate is normal size, for someone your age.
Your eyes and cataracts are normal, for someone your age.
Your knees are normal, for......
Damn, I remember when I never had a doctor! Been bouncing from one doctor to another the last 2 months. Started with a colonoscopy, which I haven't had for 8 years. Then hearing aids then eye exam then urologist, then......you get the picture.

I know what you mean
Had a foot problem and went to the doctor, I was relieved when he said it would take two months to heal but at least I didn't have arthritis, he was talking about bone spurs and bunions and what not - a laundry list of old man feet I guess

To make matters worse, I have terrible white coat anxiety! My son is in medical school too!

Just how often are you going for that prostate test? More than once a week is overkill.

I am 69 Hank and that's when tye wheels started to come off and things went sideways.

I’m 65 and starting to hear that more often. As recently as yesterday. Dad will be 70 and is starting to realize he isn't 40 anymore. Bellyaching about doc appointments for something every month for he or my step mother. Won't take meds if prescribed or do what docs say then wonder why ot takes longer to heal.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

I'm 55 and just getting to that point. I can tell you for sure that what a doctor means by that is that you are about average. Personally, I think average has been setting the bar lower and lower over the years, in US culture.
There are also outliers who are way above average. My main concerns are learning why and implementing as much of that as possible.
