I have lived here in North Central Wyoming for 14 years now. This is the first year that it has been this wet . After several dry seasons the prairie was in rough shape. But this winter set a record for snow fall in Buffalo, and the rain just keeps coming. The green on the prairie is glorious and the cool temps keep it around. The animals that have been hit by disease and Ice will recover beautifully. The fishing is pretty slow , because of water levels but all in all , the rain is a blessing. How is the rest of the west doing..???????

I drove N out of Sturgis SD all the way to Dickinson, ND yesterday. The cows were grazing in grass that was tickling their belly.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Wyoming260: About the same here in SW Montana - the fields and foothills are blazingly green and the crops (that got started late because of our LONG winter) are now easily hiding the Deer when they lay down. We are so high hereabouts that the rivers don't flood they just flow a bit higher and faster as they are now. Hopefully it will be a mild forest fire season - if the eco-terrorists don't get "busy"! First two years I lived in Wyoming I don't recall any rain at all, early October winter snow that lasted til the end of March and then mud like crazy then dry. Then it rained a bit and thought it was going to wash out the foundation of my rent house. Maybe an inch of rain.

Greener here than since 2016-17 winter/spring. And cool too.
Frost warning the other morning, and another coming for Tues morning too. Might snow if we get any moisture too.

I’ve got a lot of rain. Could use some drying out actually. Our creek has been flooding.
Mtns got snow Friday morning. That isn’t that unusual. I’ve been snowed on June, July, and August in the high country.

Lander area has had rain every day for the last 2 weeks, almost 3" on our rain gauge for the month. Desert areas to the south have been deluged, according to the radar. Wife and I took a ride up the Oregon Trail area from Sweetwater Station to Atlantic City, about 29 miles of semi-improved dirt roads. Rain had washed out quite a few rocks and gullies, still had some large water holes and muddy areas to contend with, glad we had 4wd or never would have made it. Going to be a while before we can get out in the Red Desert.

We need rain here. We are incredibly dry and I am getting tired of hauling water to the apple trees and watering the garden.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

Now on Fourth of July weekend the grass hides standing does and it is 55 degrees and rained all day. As a person who has skin cancer issues this year has been a blessing. The antelope and deer are catching a break because they don't even have to stoop over to eat.........
