Went into a gun store yesterday that I used to frequent and from which I purchased many guns. The shelves were nearly bare. Maybe the new Bass Pro Shop that opened about twenty miles away has something to do with it. But I am not so sure. I have lived here all my life. In the '60's I can remember my dad looking at handguns in Montgomery Ward. It seems as though that in the last twenty years, gun shops in California have all but dried up. In fact, the proprietor of one in Santa Ana told me the city had driven him out of business. Another former owner in Westminster told me the same thing. And he had an excellent gun shop! Neither could keep up with state, federal, and local laws.

Sadly, if the trend continues, oppressive laws in this disgusting political climate will make draconian gun control where they're unavailable reality!

Seems I am always on the defensive.
I constantly hear the fervent blathering about how bad things are in California.
My local shops are doing fine up here in Nor Cal.
To hear guys talk you would think we had to hunt with rocks.
Yeah, I know all about that 2A stuff and we do have more restrictive laws than some.
Ain't nothing come down yet that has impeded my voracious appetite for hunting here in California.
