Have any of you guys done business with The Texas gun store, or Firearms-Texas.com?? I came across their website while looking for a Browning sa-22. After a brief study it looked like the ad pages were uut and paste and have a lo of misspelled words. There really number of negative comments about them on snipershide. But I don't use it anymore. Too much abusive language and tasteless comments. Not the kind of site a 75 y.o. who wants to read and learn from needs. Any comments on the websites? Be safe

I haven’t done business with either of them before, but I’d avoid— there are plenty of reputable online businesses to choose from. I use the search engine on gundeals.com. Best of luck to you.

Any misspelling is a bad sign. You can also google “is firearms-texas.com a scam” and you’ll normally pull up a pretty good history of what people have said. If more than maybe 2 people have said it’s scammy, avoid it

I have found several on line stores that amazingly have unobtainable items at yesteryear prices. It put an item of interest in the cart & go to checkout. They all want Zelle or Bitcoin for payment, not regular credit cards. Also, say no tax info for my State. Too many red flags for me.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Advice as sound today as it was when you first heard it. With online shopping sites it's even easier to pull off scams and fraud nowadays than it was in the past.

Some tips to watch out …. (1) If someone just signed up on a gun selling forum; i.e., they have no history. Stay away from these guys. There is a Texas forum that is filled with scam ads. Those scam ads violate all three of the guidelines laid out in this message. (2) Copy some of their pictures and do a Google search for matching pictures. (There is a way to make Google search for pictures). If you find the same picture on a sight like gun broker but that seller is in a different location, then you know that his GB listing has been stolen and it being used fraudulently. Learn how here: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/1325808?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop (3) If you can access the IP address of the person posting the item for sale, use scamanalytics to get a fraud score on that IP address. https://scamalytics.com/ip

A huge red flag is if they let you put the item in your cart and then the payment method is one of the electronic funny-money options instead of a CC. I suspect they are hoping to cash in on all the newbie gun buyers because in at least two instances there was no mention of shipping through an FFL.
What fresh Hell is this?

Likely a scam.
As mentioned above,
If they are offering pre-China flu 19 prices, have something in stock no one else does, aren’t easy to contact, prolly a scam.
I’ve had good dealings with..
KYGunCo Liberty Tree Guns EuroOptics ( they sell guns also) Interstate Guns
If you in MS, give Van’s in Brandon a call, they likely have one.

I have found several "outlets" that do not exist by using Google Earth. Do a search on the address, I have found vacant lots, addresses that do not exist, and once a church.

I have also looked up the address of one of these stores on google earth one time. The address was a residential apartment building..........I did not place an order.
