Here in East Texas, Rayburn Country Lake Sam Rayburn area. We are only going to be 91 today but the current humidity is 91 percent also. Per my weather app it shows the humidity to be 98% this afternoon. Heat index last few days has been brutal. I’ve been outside working in it and not getting paid, I’m retired but grass has to be mowed and things fixed.

Thanks, Billy

Finally getting some rain here in the lower Shenandoah Valley. Was getting pretty tired of schlepping a hose and watering cans. Downside will be cutting grass…..

We had our first soaker here in the coulee region in quite some time. The farmers needed it big time! My garden and Ma's flower beds needed it. I couldn't care less about the grass, saved me on fuel!

Haven't had appreciable rain for 6 weeks at my place in S. central Wis. Maybe 1/2" in that time. The 3 sprinklers were brought out 3 days ago and will run non stop until we get some rain. The lawn is somewhat crispy. Neighbors hillside lawn faces south and it is really brown. His may be too far gone to save.

I wish you could send us some. We have had about a half inch in the last month. Usually get an inch a week this time of year. 90 degrees this week too.

We're getting an ass ton this week. I don't mind a thunderstorm or a shower now and then, but I hate the multi-day rain events.

I am actually pondering wind energy as a culprit...

"The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant; it is said to be conserved over time. This law, first proposed and tested by Émilie du Châtelet, means that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another."

THUSLY... Wind energy harvested to make electricity will alter the aggregate volume of atmospheric wind and thus alter weather.

Only place I can get is in W.Va.
It's about 50% higher there.

Having worked on the Columbia river and seen all the wind turbines going in along that stretch of the country, I wondered if and how it might affect the weather in ID, MT and further east.

Would there be a tipping point sometime?

Atleast were not the only ones in the Midwest to not see rain in a long time. Drier than a popcorn fart.

Kinda had a good laugh this past weekend, going through the "swamp" at the property, ground was rock hard ( usually atleast a foot of water in it), and I found that one mudhole. Took a while to winch backwards out of it. Didn't even cross my mind, I'd have mud dripping off me. Go about 10ft behind the sxs and ground was dry
