Did any of the major reloading die manufacturers even market
a 250 Savage neck sizing die?
I could use one-even old and rusty.....

Can't you just back your sizing die off a little?

I found that to be very effective. Just neck sizing led to tight chambering. A partial resize is what I do now since I'm not using the same cartridge in multiple guns.

Same thing I do for all my 99s.

I tried neck sizing for the 303 since the chamber is pretty wonky from the shoulder through the throat, but it made closing the bolt extremely stiff.

Lee made them (I have a set) but don't list them anymore. I believe they will make one upon request, but of course it costs more.

Redding makes a neck sizing only die.

Ive somewhat given up on neck sizing. Chambering issues being the reason. Usually the first and often the second firing after neck sizing goes well. After that though the stiff chambering becomes an issue.

Set back after firing is said to be .003” which should allow for consistent use of a neck sizer, just hasn’t worked out for me. A friend at the range suggested brass flows forward during firing negating the “set back” after a few rotations. Can’t speak with authority to that but know what I’ve experienced.

To the OP’s question and search they have been made and are probably still available. The Lee collet style neck die always made sense to me if I were looking for one. Personally, I’ve learned to just bump back the shoulder with a FL die as has been suggested here.
