I'm not ashamed to say, I've shed some tears, burying good dogs. If your a dog person, you get it. I have shed more tears over pets I have lost than most people I knew well. Sorry for your loss, OP.

I never met the dog and still tearing up thinking about it.
Our little old Henry died in my wife's arms last February.
In a way it was a blessing as he was blind and had to wear a fricken' dog diaper but I still miss the little [bleep].

Wow Stx, 18 is a hell of a run, but that makes it really hard to say goodbye. My dogs are all I got nowadays and losing them will be the end of me.
