Any of you knife fellas know the best place (price wise) to buy one? I'd even go for a used one in good shape.

You gotta stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.

Dunno if in stock,
But knivesshipfree.com is a big BRK dealer.
Good to deal with.

You know I never thought much about that blade style, until I saw the Bark River version.

That style of knife looks like the one in the movie The Hunted. Would that be considered a survival type knife?

Only if survival includes peeling the bark off your homemade walking stick, beating the thing thru firewood, digging latrines and prying the lids off paint cans..... Other than that, pretty useless design.

The Tops/Tom Brown was the one I saw in Sportsman’s. It was ridiculously heavy and the design made little sense to me. But then again I should have known because it was in a movie.
Thanks for the education on the knife gentleman.

Maybe Stalking Wolf the Lipan Apache who lived in New Jersey showed Mr. Brown a secret Apache scalping knife and he copied the design for his own uses. Maybe...
