The beach is okay. But it gets increasingly redundant after a bit,....as do the Rocky Mountains.

These days I enjoy scanning the rolling hills of the Bluegrass of Kentucky. I can see them from my yard.

It's home. The people who inhabit it are my people.

It's where I belong and God has done me a major favor by configuring my life so that I ended up here during this time where corruption and evil dominates the country.

I was given a refuge. I make it a point to give thanks for it. I didn't earn it.

Took the family to Rosemary Beach, FL last week. The Interstate highways were jammed both directions. Double Red Flag days keep you completely out of the water. There were 9 drownings since Father's Day along the gulf beaches in the panhandle, 4 of them last week. The lifeguards and Sheriff deputies weren't kidding when they said "get out of the water!"

I don't think I'm much of a beach guy, especially as crowded as it was.

The sandy beaches if West MI are awfully nice. Nice blue water without the crazy hot temperatures. Busy but not crazy crowded. Usually cool in the evenings with lovely sunsets. Hard to beat.

Down at the beach this week. Went to watch the Blue Angels practice today in Pensacola. It was at least 92 degrees out on the tarmac watching them. That was nice other than the heat, traffic and all the people.

One of the guys that drowned, out on the second sand bar, in Destin was a former QB of the Patriots, he apparently could not read, so good either, double reds on an beach, is stop and a fine of $500.

If you get bored at the beach you ain't at the right beach. But them 409 pounders in a thong you just can not unsee. Need a phaser gun, zap and puff. Lived on the beach, in Destin, by the way, for 40 years....Geez, the Tourists, I would avoid them, like the pox after 3-1, every year. Let my staff handle them in my offices.

We just got back from 10 day cruise of San Juan, St Thomas, Saint Martin, Antigua St Kitts, Nevis. Lots of beaches. We are mountain folk but it was great. snorkeled a ton. Saw sharks, rays, thousands of fish. Nudie beaches are fun with a few Caribs.

I lived near Tampa for a couple years. Went to the beach one time with the ex wife. Hot and bright. Sand so damn hot you had to have shoes on of some sort. No thanks. Good luck Hanco. Edk

Besides, I'm a fishhead................we're not particularly fond of marine mammals, they're cool enough for what they are, but they eat too many fish!
