a few years back i got a 1966 110 from a great guy here. i checkered it and swore i would keep it. Wellllll..... a youngster talked me into selling it to him.
fast forward and he was looking for a small boat, which i had and haven't used in 10 years.
Now he has a boat and i have the 110. am a happy dog!
Thanks Roy!

A friend had a left hand bolt 110 gifted to him. It's an early one where the receiver is different on top. He uses it as his bad weather gun, and has only hunted it once or twice. I know he got a deer with it the first year he had it. Can't remember what it's chambered in, I'm thinking 308 or 270? Every time he brings it as a back up, we never have bad weather, so it never gets used. He often says he ought to sell it? If anyone is interested, I'll ask him and get details, and pics.

amazed i could still post pictures! this was the last gun i ever checkered and the only example i have of 50 years scratching points into wood.
thanks again Roy. this is the most powerful rifle i can still shoot. spend lots of time anymore horizontal. MS and age is finally winning. i have been mostly shooting the 22-250 i got from David. have some great loads for both of them. so far this squirrel season it has been to hot for me to harass them.
anyone have the fountain of youth in their yard?

Tom if you're still handloading just run that 30/06 real light. I shot Barnes 130 ttsx in one I had and that helped with recoil.
