I’m just about out of ammo and need to do another batch. In looking at brass I see a huge difference in price between Nosler and the rest, if you can find any. What’s the deal? Is the Nosler brass that much better than Winchester for example?

I was going to try a different bullet but Barnes is all I can find. I used 100 grain TTSX last time and am happy with it, so I’ll probably stick with that, though I would like to try Accubonds or Partitions.

The general consensus is that Nosler brass is not worth the cost. There have been several recent threads on the scarcity of 257R brass and ammo. You might try looking those threads up and reading them.

When I went searching for brass I ended up finding Privi Partisan 6mm Rem brass that I necked up to 257R by running through my sizing die.

This is what I would do.

Ammoseek.com may yield some results for bullets. There is a little reloading tab you click on then enter specifics for bullets.

A WTB ad in classifieds here will probably get the bullets you want but be careful of scammers. Pretty easy to sniff em out by language/Grammer of their replies or wanting to take the conversation to an email address.

Don’t think Nosler be making 257 bullets anymore 😳
Seriously Ammoseek can’t find any Nosler for that caliber
