Recently purchased a Springfield Armory SA-35.

It's similar to a Browning Hi-Power, but the sights will not interchange with the browning.

Am wanting to change to night sights on this pistol.

Any one have one of these that they have changed out to night sights ?

Any advice? Thanks! Virgil B.

Doesn't the SA35 come with Novak cuts?

I'm just going by what I've read, that the sights for a Browning are cut different?

Anyone have more solid information? Thanks!

Not sure about the SA-35, but for sure the 1911s DO use a Novak cut. I called them last summer and asked them about it.

I'm pretty sure a phone call to them could get the question answered, and such stuff is better straight from the horse's mouth.

Since they use the Novak cut for 1911s, they might be using the Novak HP cut, too (it's smaller because the slides are thinner). The best way to find out, is to ask them.

XS makes these tritium sights for the SA-35.

I have them on my SA-35 and they were easy to install and work well.

Thanks Wildcatter! That's the first hand information I was hoping for.

Wildcatter; I just pulled up the web site you posted, and they say; sight pusher install NOT recommended

How did you install your sights?

Thanks!

Now, they say "selected product currently unavailable" for the green sights.

I used my sight pusher after fitting the sight base so that there was enough resistance to hold in place but not so much as to damage it. Also used some patience although IIRC they were not hard to install.

Because the tritium vials are breakable with sufficient impact I don’t use hammers and punches on them. YMMV
