Next was a 43. Just more power than the 42. Then a 19 came home with me, and a 44-22LR right behind it.

The 44 is a really good training tool. I should have bought one of these for my first Glock.

Now I'm thinking a 48 might be in my future someday.

Once you learn that trigger (for those of us groomed on 1911s, and double action revolvers), Glocks become addicting.

I wanted a dedicated "carry" gun,
I started thinking, what's important for a CCW handgun.

It MUST be;

100% reliable
Small and light enough to be easily carried and concealed.
Powerful enough to get the job done.
Idiot proof under extreme stress conditions.
Accurate enough to hit the 9 ring at 15 yards, rapid fire.
did I mention 100% reliable ?

Glock.

I began to see the beauty of a tool that does exactly what It was meant to do.
Me to. I looked at them, shot them and thought they were fugly as all get out.
One day it clicked and I have had a few of them.
I think they are sexy as hell. Yup. I don’t give a [bleep].

I’m into loading the 10mm hot.

Glocks work for me.

Vbshootingrange: I am glad you are enjoying your Glock pistols as much as I have enjoyed mine over the last 30+ years.
I have a BUNCH of them and used them both for personal protection, home protection and for professional carry in a couple of different capacities.
As an aside, I get a lot of snickering done when I read some of the stupid and baseless postings on this forum, that are showing up more and more often these days.
Long live Glock.

They have them in .357 Sig, which is close, at least if you favor 125 grain .357 Magnum loads. If, on the other hand, you favor 180 grain .357 Magnum loads, or even 158 grain loads, then you are out of luck as far as Glocks go.

For clarity.

I have good news and bad news. The bad news first, there is nothing special about Glock in today's handgun market. Pretty much all the better manufacturers have caught up with Glock in that poly-framed striker-fired genre. S&W, Sig, Springfield, Walther, FN, H&K, and others offer everything the Glock does and usually in a more comfortable to shoot platform. Here is the good news, Glock is as good as any of the others. They are all just little machines and all of them are subject to failure. Yes, I have seen Glock's jam, parts break, kaboom, and fail from little minor stuff to catastrophic events. And I know that those things can happen to any firearm. So if Glock floats your boat that's fine. But if M&P, Sig, XD, Walther, H&K feel better rest assured you aren't giving up anything by choosing one of them.

I have many 1911s, my friends see my 1911s, my enemies will see my Glock 19.

If one knows little about 🔫 and what is available Glock pistol is a good choice. I would hate to be so focused on one brand.
There are still poor souls out there that time forgot that think Glock is the only out of the 📦 reliable handgun.😵‍💫

I would have to disagree with this statement most wholeheartedly.

My Grandfathers Glock, but it was too big for the shelf.

For those expecting mythical SHTF scenario for ease of finding ammo make sure to pick 9x19.

Yesterday it inspired me to order my very first Glock.

I have a 19X en route that will be used as a truck gun. $530 didn't seem like a bad deal especially with 3 magazines.

The 19X is my favorite Glock for an all around house and carry gun. The G19 grip frame is a little to short for my hands.
