Another one owner rifle from my buddies collection. He bought this new and it's been to Alaska, BC, Idaho, Montana, and Africa. Look at it though. I've seen three year old rifles in rougher shape than this one!

Ok, 24 inch black, Stainless barrel, done by Remington back in the day. SN is 6377xxx. Blueing on the receiver, bolt and trigger guard are all in really good shape. Still wears the factory installed Remington Pad. There are three panels of nice pressed checkering on the forend and two in the he grip. The white line spacers are yellowed with age. This rifle was by far his most hunted rifle. It is very accurate, and he estimates, less than 250 down the pipe(he said it's probably closer to 150-200, but wanted to be conservative 😃).

It will come with the rings and base shown. It also has a hooded front sight, but the rear sight is long gone. The filler screws are installed. The receiver is also factory drilled and tapped for a rear aperture sight. He is looking for the rear barrel mount sight, and will let me know if he finds it.

If I did not already own one of this vintage with that barrel - cal configuration, I would be all over it... These early 700's shoot incredible and that is part of the reason I "collect" the older ones. I am still waiting for one in this type of configuration in 300 or 264... seen them around but always have a lot of wear.... Those stainless barrels guns that they did this way are really good shooters.

I have one also in 7mm mag. Mine is a very good shooter. This in my hunting rifle and plan on keeping it. They had a problem with coloration on barrel. I put mine in a HS Precision stock and love it. GLWS.
