Anyone have one? Which model? Experiences? Are they worth it? (I hunt in a straight wall only state)

I have a Mesa in 7mm-08 and love it, a real shooter wit the right loads, very well built, great trigger.

I have a CA15-G2...and it's in the for sale side of the safe. Just waiting for some libtard to say something dumb and jack up gun prices and it's gone. I think Christensen Arms (CA) makes great bolt guns and some marketing guru in the backroom said, let's make semi-auto's too. Just because it has a carbon fiber barrel doesn't make it good, it still has to work. I used it for Run-n-Gun competitions, lightweight being the key reason I'm emptied my wallet of $2200+. I never won a race with it, not even a third place podium spot. The Sig I used prior has seven 1st place notches in its barrel. Two issues, first, it would short stroke without a super solid hold, which isn't always possible in the sport, and second POA/POI would vary by as much as 4MOA - a full 16" at 400 yards. It would randomly happen and as best as I can tell, it's the barrel to receiver connection. Took about two years to figure it out, thought it was the optic, mounts, ammo...no way a $2200 gun could suck that bad, but it did. I'd send it back, but I don't feel confident they can actually fix it, or I'll get the "it's just fine, likely shooter error" note on return slip.

Buddy has a the AR10 configuration, loved it, then started pushing it's limits past 100 yards to 500, 600, 700 yards and it wouldn't hold a zero either. He dumped a few K's on a Wilson Combat rifle in 6.5 and doesn't shoot the CA anymore.

As for their bolt guns, yes. I shoot with some guys that use them in 300win mag and 338 Lapua for shoots at 1 mile and they do really well.

My sample of 1 is a LH Mesa 6.5cm.

I really like it.

Hunted with it this past season suppressed.

EuroOptcs usually has some good CA deals.

Not a Christensen but a Ruger American shot really well and was a thumper on deer and hogs.

I probably should have kept it.
