I just acquired a 788 in 22-250 now I am needing a leupold or older redfield turn in base for it. If anyone has one laying around I would appreciate a pm with what you have and price. I’ve got screws if yours doesn’t. Thanks again to all that look.

Steve, I don't have a Leupold or Redfield. If you can't find any I do have a set of Weaver bases for a M788.

Do they take the same as the m7? I’ve got a 3-screw base somewhere. Was thinking those were same mount?

You 788 gurus. Is the 22-250 a long or short action. I thought all the 788s were short action. My bad

788 terminology is different than the normal LA and SA. In Redfield base terminology, .308 family and 6mm Rem are called extra long. 222, 223, 22-250, and 30-30 are long. 44 mag is short. Different base manufacturers call them differently.
