Went to a mostly meat and greens diet. Lots of grilled chicken, beef, pork and fish and shrimp. Lots of fresh raw vegetables, salad for lunch, eggs and meat for breakfast. Cut out as much processed food as I could, never ate much sweets, but none now, no bread or pasta, still eat some rice though and corn tortillas. Fresh fruit sometimes.
No energy drinks etc., just water, tea, coffee most of the time. Walk/jog every night even though I live an extremely active work life.
Still drink bourbon in the evenings.
When you start to view a lot of the available “food” as the poison it is it’s not hard to cut it out of your life.

Don’t really miss any of the junk I ate before one bit.

Take two or 3 weeks going hard core low carb to get Ketosis started.
Eat only meat and greens after that.
Steaks, chicken, eggs, bacon, most all greens, salad and vegetables.
Avoid potatoes, bread, pasta, chips, all desserts, all sugary sodas and juices and fruits like they will kill you...because they will.
I shed 70 lbs 5 plus years ago none of it has come back.
Willpower is something most people struggle with.
The feeling of being comfortable in your own skin far outweighs the instant gratification of eating carbs and sweets.
It's so easy and so difficult for so many people.

What’s the TL:DR?

If it's not information you need then that's understandable. If it's something that could be great benefit, I would hate to think I had such a limited attention span.

if you ever needed to lose 70 lb you need to completely change your lifestyle not just your diet

It’s the “here’s what you need to do” instead of the “here’s what I did and why, maybe it’ll work for you” that makes it so ridiculous.

The video is to help all who simply think eat less exercise more is the answer. Unfortunately, it's impossible to learn anything new if you already know everything. We see here the meaning of "It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks."

If you're healthy and fit then great, don't waste your time, but if you are struggling to drop even a few pounds or just want to learn more about our current food supply, then it's a very informative and thought-provoking video.

Did you watch any of the video? I didn't observe that approach at all in it.

Not much difference.
Facts is facts.

I don't ever say it to put it in anyone's face.
I was a lean, mean mountain climbing machine in my 20s and 30's.
After I turned 50 I needed to make some serious changes.
Diet is everything.
I wish everyone could experience the life change that I did.
I don't mean to cast shame on anyone, because I was there myself.

My post was not aimed at you dude. But over the years there have been innumerable posts on this that were hilarious. 5’4” twinks bragging about pull-ups, skeletor homosexual pedal bikers, et al. The most self righteous poofters are guys that got heavy, lost the weight on a fad diet then preach. Like a fág that suddenly discovered püssy and has to tell the world the “sure thing guaranteed”pickup line

It is easy to lose weight long term. I am 17 months in to changing the way I eat and am doing great.

Eat simple one ingredient foods. Steak, fat hamburger, chicken, salmon, pork, bacon without a bunch of crap in it, shrimp, crawfish, venison, etc.

Quality cheeses with low or no carbs, blueberries, blackberries, pecans roasted in butter, and cabbage are all great.

Lots of eggs.

Your body knows how to process these foods.

No seed oils, grains, rice, processed food, sugars, nightshades, milk, alcohol is terrible. Protein powders are not worth a crap.

How many carbs depends on your insulin resistance. I have to hold it under 30 to 40 per day to maintain my current weight.

Just losing weight does not make you healthy. I am heavier than when I bottomed out on weight, but have more muscle. Last night I did 120 pushups in a short span of time, did have to take a little break in the middle.

Insulin resistance and piss poor eating habits along with aggressive marketing from big food and pharma is what is keeping America fat. Why do you think people are losing weight on the new drugs to control A1C?
