Anybody ever use or can you recommend the Speer 62 gr. Gold Dot in a 223 Rem rifle for whitetail deer?

I’ve heard they are good. I use the 62 grain Bear Claw. The 62 grain TTSX would be very good also

I have killed probably 90 in the last couple of years with that exact factory load. Probably 75% hogs and 25% deer. Also used a bunch of Black Hills 62gr soft points to good effect also. Granted, I do keep most of my shots inside 300 yards - I have dusted some yotes out to almost 500.

Gold Dots across multiple calibers have been a solid deer bullet for me. 223, 6.8SPC, and 6.5x55.
