They sure possess a lot of the same behavioral traits I’ve noticed. Our GSP has to be laying on or at least in physical contact with another person or, baring that, another dog/animal. They’re very affectionate but I call it needy. They are really sweet and friendly. When we play ball Kodiak will get there first and then stop and defer to Kenai (older & a lab). Only after Kenai has gotten tired will Kodiak then retrieve it but otherwise he’ll always defer to Kenai. I’ve watched both dogs when they didn’t know it and I’ve seen them bring food to one another. It doesn’t happen often but if for some reason one dog perceives something about the other one they’ll take a mouthful of food and bring it over and drop it in front of the other dog, Kenai even used her nose to nuzzle it closer….strange but incredibly sweet behavior. Dogs (some) are far smarter than they get credit for and in many cases they’re smarter than their owner.

When he gets a handle on it, get him some 3/32 6010. Far easier to whip and pause, and much better at eating through rust and paint and crap IMO. It's great for gapping too, because of how much whip you can give it before you need to pause, or break the arc completely.

She was old and in bad shape then. I fed her up from.my hand.

Since then shes raised hers and the fawns of piss poor moms.

Her hoof tips were wore down even back then.

Yesterday she was pestering me for corn chips when she suddenly jerked her head up staring toward the lake.

On the other side of the cove at about 800 yards she was looking at 2 people walking the beach toward the point which points toward another point on my side of the cove. Those people had her on point as they were walking TOWARD where her fawn was hidden on this side of the cove.

I didnt get a pic until she had bolted toward them and just out the back yard gate.
