Got a chance to acquire one of these. Serial # has A prefix. Wood looks very good for the age, a few dings but nothing through the finish. Some bluing loss around the muzzle, iron sights have been removed. Comes with a Simmons Aetec, so scope would have some sale value on the local boards. I'm more of a Ruger/Winchester guy, so looking for a ballpark value. I reload and I happen to already have a set of dies.
Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.

I’d say $700 based off condition described. Scope is worthless, irons will cost you a benjamin to replace. A like new in box non varmit example I would personally value at $1250 area.
On a side note hammer please let me know first if you have any firearms for sale.

I’m genuinely surprised to see him give an external estimate so low though. I assumed the lowballing was just greed, but maybe he’s just really really bad at estimates? Or he lost a few fingers to fireworks and can’t count very high anymore?

Not to hi-jack the OP thread, but what would you guys value a 700 VLS in 6mm Rem? With box. I bought it as unfired, but can't verify that.

LOL. You are correct Marksman, no VLD. Of course you already knew that. It's a VLS. SN E6428xxx

$800-$1100 is what they seem to be going for without the occasional ones sneaking through for less/more.
I picked up a NIB unfired 1999 ADL with a synthetic stock for $775 and was happy to pay it a month or so ago. I'd buy a few for $400 if I could find them.
I was just on a trip to western MT last week and found a 60's vintage no prefix serial number 700 ADL Carbine 20" barrel in 6MM Rem offered to me for $1000 cash at a local pawn shop. I had to think on that one, not many of the carbines anymore. Handy little rifle and was in great shape with just some stock dings/wear for its age.
