Forgot to add...wasting money. They LOVE to waste it, and just as much, see you waste it on them.
Its why they like cut flowers, 28 bazillion pairs of shoes, and 23 kinds of hair care products in the shower. Not to mention the morning $6 latte and the evening $6 micro brew with the girls. You guys surely do make me appreciate my wife of forty years. Yeah, she will buy a jig saw puzzle or paper back romance novel once or twice a month at the discount store. And she does insist on keeping a jar of Folgers instant in the cupboard along with "French Vanilla Creamer for each morning's cup. I forgive her that extravagance.

We had an old Mexican guy at work who thought it was humorous to ask the younger guys for a blow job.
I started telling him he was queer, thirty years ago.

Back in '74 when my now wife threatened to move out unless a ring was forthcoming, I was too stupid and socially inept to recognize that red flag. But, give me credit for endurance, we are still filing jointly, I wouldn't go so far as to call it a marriage. But back to the topic at hand, it amazes me that after a half century of wood heat, the basic woodstove is too complicated for her. Intensive training and safety sessions don't seem to have helped. Fall is particularly dangerous, after the summer of no fire. I now split just enough pitchwood kindling to avoid a Chernobyl reactor meltdown, OK, don't fight it. But then there is basic yard tools, weedeater, riding mower...her area of responsibility is about a 100 foot radius from the flintshack, mine is the remaining acreage. She kills gas powered equipment...serial murder most foul. Training has proved a waste of time. The concept of a mix of oil in gas was a hard won expensive lesson I'll tell you. 12:21 PDT Update. My goodness, how timely...the bride just broke the hand brake cable on the Quadrunner...going to the mailbox. With a track record like hers, what would be your response if she asked to use the forklift? the backhoe? excavator? the D-7?
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I was shacked-up with one years ago, she would drive her car to the mailbox. The driveway was 60' [feet] long - she hit the brick mailbox and wanted me to fix her car. I asked why in hell she used her car to go 60' - she said that's the way she always did it. She lasted about 3 months - I was never so glad to see someone leave.

When your wife has you convinced that you are smarter than her, you will never truly know how smart she really is - Rush Limbough said that and he is still right. My wife is smart , but only when she wants to be. A few posts up a guy was saying after 50 yrs . of burning wood, she still cant figure out a wood stove. My wife couldn't figure out our wood boiler , until I went away and for 3 days and that is the only heat you get. She kept it running just fine. She still for the life of her can't figure out recycling. I say " Trina, it has a triangle with a number on it, it goes in this box.... Nope, she just cant figure out steel goes in one box, plastic WITH THE TRIANGLE, WITH THE NUMBER IN IT GOES IN THIS BOX. Nope, just cant remember . We all know she does, she just wants to piss me off. I dont even try anymore. She is so suspicious and fast to see when I dont understand that she wanted a job with the un employment department to interview people over the phone to see if they were trying to lie about needing unemployment . She was bumped when she didn't get the job and the state likely lost an employee that was the best of the best . There is no rhyme or reason to them sometimes. A woman can listen to 3 kids in a fight and explaining to her what happened and she comprehends all three while crying, screaming and arguing at the same time. I cant do that. I need to listen to each one without interruption .
