What pistol is it in the pic below? If you can tell me, many thanks in advance. I know the pic is not the best.

Thanks DD. What makes you think that? I don’t have an M&P.

FWIW, it’s a blown-up image from a nearby hot lady’s online dating profile.

I was hoping to mention the suspected model in a futile attempt to seem more intelligent than I actually am.

Well, when attempting to continue the simulated propagation of our species, one must use all available resources. And the Campfire is one of the world's most potent resources.

Awesome plan !
The clue for me, (for lack of a better term) is the "stylized lightening cut" on the slide .
But I can barely make it out.
Also, I think I can see a curved (convex) slide end cover area. Not sure if that correlates to an M&P.
It may in fact, eliminate it.

Thanks DD. That was my concern. The pics of the M&P seem to show a flat rear of the slide. And that one seems like it may be curved.

You might get more points for mentioning how nice her nails are in the photo than the model of the pistol. Good luck.

I already have a draft message that includes some restrained compliments on her appearance--appropriate for a first message. But I also just wanted to see if I could mention the suspected pistol model. Looking for an additional layer for my initial approach.

Interesting. But it has that horizontal insert on the bottom back of the slide. And I don't see that on any of the S&W pistols.

I'd suggest you ask her, but that might make you seem more interested in the gun than her. Give it a couple msgs, at least, then sneak it in.... smile

"I've always wanted one of those. What is it", might not be the best.... smile

Can see why you're lookin.

It'd be a better opening ta inquire bout the pistol and let her tell ya bout it, than try and jump in like Mr. Science.

That leads ta "Hey, I shoot too."

That leads ta "Let's meet at the range."

I would comment on her “good shooting” and something like, “it’s hard to tell from the photo but is that a XXXXXXXXX you’re shooting. If so, how do you like it?” 😁

A compliment followed by a question to give hr a chance to “talk”..

I would tell her how bad her grip is.

Edit: because it is.
