Haven’t posted in a long long while. Picked up this 1971 Ruger M77 in .250 Savage. Paid 700 Canadian and he threw in all the ammo as well. Looking forward to stretching it’s legs soon….

Diggin that 3 x 9 Tasco on top.
Good score and that Tasco works better than the campfire Scope Snobs would give it credit for... The ones I ever had, especially the World Class ones, the optics were as clear as any Leupold I owned in those days.
I may just order a 250 Savage Barrel for one of my Ruger 77 Mk 2s.. Its a round I've never owned but still loaded 250 Savage data in a 243 Win...... which worked well in the field and got its game quota.

Should be very pleasant to shoot. My 700 Classic in 250 is a sweetheart.

What a deal! If those ammo boxes are all full, the ammo would be worth 3/4 if the purchase price.

Nice!! All of the .250-3000 rifles I’ve shot were Savage 99 bolt actions. All had the old 1-14” twist so had to shoot 87 grain flat base spitzers in them but still killed deer with them!
Too bad the .250 isn’t more popular, its a grand old cartridge.

I have a Tasco World Class 3X9 that's been on several rifles since I bought it back in the 1980's time period. It has never once lost zero, and is still as good a low light scope as any I've ever had.

I have a 1974 gun just like that. I think it is a great rifle. I had a .257 Bob And a 25-06 as well. The .280 M77 is at my kids house but I kept the .250.

Great score on a fine rifle and a finer cartridge. I have two 250 Savages a Ruger #1 and a custom built on a shortened Mauser action. I handload mine but you have a lifetime supply of ammo. DON"T throw away the brass there's plenty of us who reload that and are always looking for the brass.
