For sale, browning x-bolt ss stalker chambered in 243. 22” barrel, black synthetic stock that has been replaced by browning under the dura-touch recall. Round count is unknown but guessing it’s low. Shoots great although it’s only been fired by me a few times. Asking $850 shipped to your ffl. Pictures can be text or emailed to people with interest.

For some reason, Browning rifles have never been popular with true gun nuts. Not sure why, as they seem to be accurate and well-finished. And you never see custom builds using Browning actions. Things may be changing a bit now, as the new X-Bolt series seems to be well-received.

I don't know anything about the X-bolt. But let me tell you, the A-bolt II was one of the best shooting factory rifles ever made.

I have a 7mm 08, would never sell it, one of best handling and shooting rifles I've ever had.

That's because it's not an A-bolt, and you have no photos.

A gunsmith I respect told me that Brownings are a hunters rifle but not a shooters rifle. Vey nice accurate rifles but best suited for those that put 20-30 rounds down range a year as opposed to regular range duty…..said the actions are tough to rebarrel due to the fine thread pitch and they often result in action galling or thread damage when removing the barrel. The triggers do not lend them selves to easy tuning. Thus you see very few if any custom builds on a browning action.

Hard to beat a browning until you have to rebarrel it…..90% of shooters never do anyways though…great rifles.

Bullsheet.

X-bolt out of the box.

Replaced factory trigger spring. 10 minute job, even for a rookie.

I bought a Hells canyon speed in 7mm-08 about 3.5 years ago. It is a well balanced, great handling, great shooting rifle. It shoots .5- .6” with 140gr partitions at 2922 fps avg with Big Game powder. It would probably do even better, but I have left it alone and just hunt with it, as that level of accuracy is beyond acceptable for me smile
It is a hunting rifle, and a darn good one! Good luck-

The X-Bolt is hardly "new".
