On recommendation from the Campfire regulars, I picked up several of these over the past few years. I’ve paid from $90 to $130 and felt that I got a bargain each time. I’ve heard that Burris had discontinued this one. I guessed that these were so good that it made it harder to market their other models. If interested. - The FF2 are\were made in the Philippines.
- The newer Droptine is the same glass and coatings in a slighter modernized shell. You are NOT "settling" by getting a Droptine at all.
- I find the Droptines have improved adjustments and sharper clicks than the FF II's
- The eyepiece on the Droptine does not turn with the power adjustment -a la FF2
- The E1 models are also made in the Philippines.
- The Fullfield IV models are made in China.

On sale at Amazon. I just ordered one. Must have Prime membership. Still on sale at the same low price even after "deal days" etc. Seems like its the same model, but wondering if these are now being made in China or still Phillipines?
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

I just checked Amazon and the scopes are back to $104.72. If you missed the first bargain here's your second chance.

They were made in the Philippines. You better get one while they are still being offered. When they are all gone, the price is going to go up on them. Some of you know this, but the American made FFII's are selling for about $200 on ebay. The gloss American made ones even more. When these discontinued ones are no longer available, they will quickly go up in price.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I've got a U.S. made gloss 3-9 on my CZ .22 mag. I wouldn't take $200.00 for it.

Deal is still going, I just ordered two. I agree with aboltfan, I would not take $200 for any of my USA made 3-9 FFII's. Those I am keeping...

I picked one up. Hell at 104 dollars I'll put it on one of my 22's if nothing else.

I've got a U.S. made gloss 3-9 on my CZ .22 mag. I wouldn't take $200.00 for it. I have 3 gloss American made FF II’s with the ballistic plex reticle. You probably don’t have that model, as they were a special order model. Not many made. The American made FF II’s I was referring to are the matte finish ballistic plex models. They are still holding $200 + when you find them on eBay. And you are right, I’m not selling mine for that either. The first one I bought was in 1998, and it was $175.00. It’s been on 10 different rifles and it’s still rock solid.

You are correct. My gloss FF ll has the duplex reticle. Mine was bought sometime in the middle 90s as well. I bought it specifically for the CZ American 22 mag. and it's never come off it.
A 4.5-14 I recently bought was also specifically for a CZ American, this one a 17 HMR, because I wanted the ballistic plex.
One of the things I like about the FF lls is that they are trim and lightweight scopes for their power range and in the above examples fit well on rimfire magnum rifles.
