AND THEY HAD BRAND NEW SHOPPING CARTS! It was awesome, almost like test driving a brand new car. Not saying that I dont have a life, or it was the highlight of my day....

I’m easily impressed too OP.
The shopping carts that really impressed me are the ones at IKEA. My wife and I went to an IKEA store while visiting her family, the carts had both front AND rear pivoting wheels. Total game changer as far as shopping carts go.

Last winter our local Winco store got all new carts. They went to all plastic. It hasn't been a year and some are showing signs of wear. It might be an expensive money saving decision.

Ours got new carts too. I love going to Walmart, best place ever for checking out chubby girls!!

Years ago, I was working plant maintenance. We each had a rolling tool box. A favorite trick was to get a forklift, and set somebody’s box on top of the workbench in the shop.  Just for schits & giggles. One guy did that to another, and to get even, the second guy took the grinder to the wheels of the instigator’s toolbox! Even in the noisy plant, you could hear him coming from a long ways off! I worked 3rd trick mosta the time. They had floodlights outside that shown down over the walls to the ground. The moths at night would land on the side of the building for the heat. One night a buddy of mine got a bushel sized box, and filled that sucker with them moths. Then he closed it up , took it in and set it on the desk in another guys office. Then he opened the box and shut the door behind him. I was told it took Dennis an hour’& 1/2 with a shop vac to get them rounded up in the morning! 7mm

New carts at my local WalMart also. AND they were well stocked with Bud Light. No one was buying.

Not sure if ours has new carts but the wheels are new. Even with the new wheels some of the wheels feels like a bad bearing or something. Pulls to the side when pushing it.
