My grandpa had an International M when I was a kid back in the early 60's.
Have had a soft spot for them since.

Almost bought a Timber Jack 6085FB yesterday... been kicking myself since for bailing on a bid bump... I was being a puss on the transport fee.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

First was the H or M Farmall, then the 4020 came along.

My mother's dad had an old Farmall that I drove a few times as a kid. I've got an old Minneapolis Moline 445m that I use quite a bit now.

We sometimes contracted custom work be done, heavy deep plowing of Alfalfa fields and subsequent discing. The work was done by my Aunt's brother with a new at the time International 966 Hydro, with OMG a cab and AC. I was often allowed to operate "Big Red" in our fields. The first time I ever experienced such luxuries on a tractor.
It was a heck of a change from Dad's 8N and WD 45.

International 1466 with a cab, AC and radio, nice step up from the old farmalls.

My family had a dairy farm. Our tractors were: Farmall H, Farmall 450, and International 656. I can't say I ever thought of any of them as favorites. All these years later I have a soft spot for the Farmall H nostalgia-wise. Don't really miss the hours I spent on any of them.

Spent many an hour on a John Deere model A. Then Dad upgraded to a John Deere wide front end 730 diesel with power steering. I thought it was heaven.

Spent a bit of time on small dairy farms in Northern Wisconsin. The best crops were rocks. As evidenced by the disappearance of the many rock piles all over the farms, as they end up in nurseries , landscapers..... Whoda thought.
As for tractors I liked the WD45 for baling hay with the hand clutch. Ford 8N's were ok for raking , pulling the cable for hauling hay to the mow with forks, or going the mailbox.
In the little township in Rusk County, WI, there were 102 dairy farms in the early 1900's ....now there is 1 . Most land rented out for crops .

We had a Massey Ferguson 35. Our farm raised mink so really only needed a tractor for blowing snow and mink poop.

Didn't really grow up on a farm. My father had 40 acres and raised a couple beef cows when I was in high school. I'll say a 1939 Allis-Chalmers RC was used the most.
