Thanks the replies. I’ll stick with the OF 1920, it’s expensive enough at $60 here. Haven’t had a bad bottle yet.

It is the same mashbill as Old Charter10 was. Aged in Stainless vats with wood chips instead of barrels. Most I ever paid for a 1.75 of OC 10 was 40. That is the story I was told on it.It comes in a fancier looking bottle too.

Buddy used to love ER, so when we got together, I sat a wood box with bottle on the table. There are better bourbons, no doubt.

I'd buy Eagle Rare at $40 but hard to find around here, one store that carries harder to find bottles usually has it for $89. Buffalo Trace bourbons have gotten so popular and expensive, I've moved on mostly to Wild Turkey bourbons. Russell's Reserve Single Barrel is very good. WT101 is grossly underrated and a bargain buy. Old Forester 1920 also good, had some last night.

I should try the 1910. Another one I don’t mind spending $60 is the new riff malted rye. Very good.

There's several good suggestions already. ER isn't worth $50. Besides those mentioned already, Knob Creek 9yr, Russell reserve 10yr, and Elijah Craig single barrel should also be considered. Almost a 2 for 1 and as good or better in some cases.

Enjoyed the hell out of a Russell’s 10yr a few years ago. Enjoy KC as well. The first glass from the KC Rye had a lot of spice but after a few weeks of sitting around it seemed to tone down and was excellent. Actually enjoy their smoked maple too.
