Cost for a non EAA member for one day pass +parking is $80 if you buy ticket online.
EAA AirVenture is known for camaraderie and hospitality, and, as your hosts, we have some advice on how to best enjoy your time at Oshkosh. We have created a list of the most crucial things to bring. Blanket and chair to watch the air show We recommend having a blanket or chair to sit and watch the four hour-long air show that happens every day starting at 2:30 p.m (1 p.m. on Sunday). We also have two night air shows on Wednesday and Saturday, starting at 8 p.m.
Prohibited Items To provide a safe experience for our guests, all bags will be searched before entry.
The following is a list of prohibited items:
Coolers that are larger than 12” x18” Beer, Wine, Liquor, and all other Alcoholic Beverages. Recreational marijuana (THC/cannabis) is illegal in Wisconsin & is prohibited on all EAA grounds. Firearms, fireworks, and explosives. Laser pointers. Smoking/vaping on all EAA grounds and in all EAA owned/leased buildings. wanted to know what to expect, what I should bring (like a camp folding chair), some insider tips
Small daypack, good walking shoes, small digital camera with an extra Sd card. You have to carry it all day, so go light. A folding chair is nice but no fun to carry all day. Even an ultra-light hiking chair would be a pain. I used to just sit in the grass under an airplane wing when I went there.

GREAT advice. Try not to over do it. You will have a great time.

I never found myself wishing for a camp chair or anything. Picnic tables and displays all had places to rest. I usually go every year tho this year I have prior commitments and will not. National Trappers Convention with my son in Escanaba instead on the weekend and while I could conceivably make it a "work thing" and go mid-week, I won't.
1. Bring money 2. Water - hydrate, hydrate, hydrate - there's shade but still, hydrate can not stress that enough. 3. Comfortable shoes - lots of walking if you want to see things and they're all over. 4. Talk to people - just because that guy next to you is a billionaire, doesn't mean he don't like talking about his plane. Aviation guys are geeks about their thing the same as shooters are and like talking/sharing. 5. I never found the EAA app to be all that fun/useful 6. Take pictures of where you parked or drop a pin - whatever. It's easy to get turned around after a long day of walking.
If you can - be there for the night time air show.
Went to an airshow last year when it was in the 90s. Bought everyone a spritz waterbottle with attached battery operated fan from a Walgreens. Seemed to help some.

i live right up the road from Oshkosh... stopped by the Appleton airport last night on my way home and watched them refuel the B-29 "Doc" & the B-25 "Berlin Express"... Hopefully a B-17 shows up today... i stop and watch them start and fly these big birds every year...
